TFD-QQ, a homodimeric protein with no rare earth binding capacity

We mutated the glutamate in the rare earth binding site of TFD-EE to glutamine, thereby causing it to lose its rare earth binding ability. This protein was used as a control in the experiment to demonstrate the background noise of the protein.
